'Hummingbird', bird of the lake ...

The handicraft market was inaugurated in 2018 in the Chuacanté canton, San Pedro La Laguna; municipality belonging to the Lake Atitlán basin, located in Sololá, Guatemala. 

The hummingbird is an essential part of the history of the municipality, because it is known as a messenger for the creator through wishes, representing fragility and delicacy in the magical towns of the basin.

For that reason, the Tz'unun Ya' handicraft market is named in such a way that each pedrana and pedrano are represented in their colors.
